Clan Iain Abrach ~ MacIain Proudly Introduces
Beinn MacAlpine
| About Me - My History |
| Growing up with Clan MacDonald of Sleat, in the Isles of Skye, I came to love the sea and to travel by boat up and down the west coast and among the islands. I also learned my map-reading and charting skills on these journeys. It was on a voyage to the south on a visit to the ancestral home of my clan (MacAlpine), south of Loch Creran, when I met my wife, Magaidh, in that town. We eventually moved northward to Glencoe when raids by the Campbells in the Loch Creran area became frequent. I still spend as much time as possible in a boat, and frequently take along my daughter, Euna, to show her as much of the world as I can, and to teacher her the beauty and perilousness of the sea. | |
