To the Board of Directors, Officers, and Members of Clan Iain Abrach ~ MacIain

It is with a heavy heart that I must resign my position as Guild Master of Clan Iain Abrach ~ MacIain Historical Reenactment Group. As most of you know my wife Joan has been ill over the past several months, and recently we have found out that her condition is due to a recurrence of cancer. Although I have remained active in the position of Guild Master for many years it is time that I step down from the day-to-day operations of the Guild, so that I can focus on her health.

It is my intention to remain as President of the Board of Directors so that I can work with the Board to make this transition as smooth as possible. I will also remain High Chief of the Scots and Lord of the Isles while on stage. Joan will remain as well as an Officer of the Guild until she determines what direction to follow. We will both be attending Guild events as often as we can.

As I step-down, Tim Jesus will step-up to become interim Guild Master. The Board will now need to make a determination, as designated in our by-laws, to elect a new Guild Master at the Board's next meeting. It is my hope that the new Guild Master will carry on with our tradition of excellence, and take Iain Abrach into the future.
